The Department of English at MES College Chathamangalam was established in 2010. It became a full-fledged department in 2017 with the introduction of the postgraduate programme in English Language and Literature.
The department plays a vital role in strengthening communication and reading skills across the college and holds the unique distinction of engaging with every undergraduate student through language courses.
