Resources
- The library hosts a comprehensive collection of 5,768 books across various disciplines, supporting the curriculum and encouraging independent learning.
- A dedicated set of 750 reference books is available for in-library use, aiding deeper research and subject specialization.
- The library subscribes to 20 journals and periodicals, keeping students and staff updated with current academic and professional trends.
- A daily supply of 5 major newspapers ensures users stay informed about local, national, and international news.
General Rules
The identity card issued by the college must be presented at the counter before entering the library.
Personal belongings such as books, bags, umbrellas, files, etc., are not allowed inside the library.
All members accessing the library must enter their details in the visitors’ register.
The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the library.
The library is a place for serious reading and research; strict silence must be maintained inside the library and its premises.
Footwear must be left outside the library.
Working Hours
- The library is open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on all working days, including Saturdays.
- It remains closed on Sundays and public holidays unless otherwise notified.
- All members — students, faculty, and non-teaching staff — have access to the library during working hours.
Membership
- All members of the staff, students and non–teaching staff are members of the library.
- Temporary staffs and guest faculties should get an undertaking from any permanent staff and HOD of the department respectively to access library.
Borrowing & Returns
- All members of the staff, students and non–teaching staff with valid identity card issued by the college can borrow books from the library.
- The borrower should examine the book issued to them and any damage, markings, etc. should be reported to the staff before leaving the library.
- The borrower will be held responsible for any defect detected when the book is returned and he/she will be required to replace the defective book.
- The loan period is normally 14 days. But the Librarian reserves the right to call back any book, at any time, from any borrower, even if the period of loan has not expired.
- The loan period may be extended or shortened at the discretion of the Librarian.
- If the book borrowed from the library is not returned on or before the due date, a fine of Rs. 1/- per day will be charged on each book.
- If a book borrowed is lost, the matter should be immediately reported to the Librarian.
- If a book is irrecoverably lost, it must be replaced with a new one.
- If a book belonging to a set or series is lost or damaged and a new volume is not separately available, the whole set or series of books should be replaced.
- All documents borrowed from the library by the students and the members of the staff should be returned on or before the last working day of the academic year or on the date fixed by the Librarian.
Loan Duration
All members can borrow books for a specific number of days based on their category.
The standard loan period may vary and is subject to change at the discretion of the Librarian.
Loan Service Duration:
UG Students – 14 days
PG Students – 14 days
Faculties – 30 days
Guest Faculties – 10 days
Non-Teaching Staff – 20 days
Book Lending Limit
All members of the library are eligible to borrow books according to their category.
The number of books that can be borrowed at a time is as follows:

Guest Faculties – 4 books
Non-Teaching Staff – 2 books
